After much thought, I decided to have a separate blog for wedding images and information helpful to brides. It is still VERY new, but I would love it if you would stop on by and take a peek :)
I have a few bridal sessions coming up here real quick and I have noticed more and more young women looking at bridal and wedding magazines at the bookstore...love is in the air! Since I have a love for fashion and looking for cool new things, I stumbled across something new in the styles of wedding dresses. Black. Yep, black, not white or ivory. Today's brides are wanting things a little different from generations past. Photography styles have been changing over the last few years and so have the ceremonies and fashions. Photography is more personal, custom, full of fashion and very photojournalistic. Ceremonies range from a country theme on a ranch, Mickey Mouse style at Disney, and even a barefoot casual beach gathering at a destination of choice. Whatever the choices, the most important thing is that it is YOU! Here are a few images I found showing this new style that a few brides may find interesting.
Stunning huh? The dress is beautiful and the color is bold, daring and different. I have even seen a dress that has a more subtle look with black mesh over a light cream gown. The point of this topic is to point out that today it is all about choices. Choices all the way from cake styles to photography to fashion and these choices can be tailored to fit your unique style! SO, with that said...would you do black?
I had the pleasure of working on a wedding with Brian of Woodward + Rick Photographers recently and I wanted to share some of the images. I will have more posted on my blog and in my galleries real soon...so, here is a sneak peak. To see the images larger, simply click on the slideshow. Oh, nevermind the holiday music...that is for the slideshow below featuring the holiday cards:)
My gosh, this is why I love love love what I do! I was lucky to shoot a wedding with Jen of Jen Lee Photography and what a beautiful wedding it was. Thank you to the bride and groom and their families for allowing me to share these special evenings with you:) The selection of colors and the decor was top notch. The band just knocked my socks off! There was a solo that made me stand still and I had goosebumps everywhere...then I realized "I have a job to do!"...so off I went shooting again. To keep this from being a posting marathon, I will post a small handful of the many I loved. Best to you J & J, I wish you only the best!! (don't forget that you can click on images to enlarge)
